About Property:

At Olive Branch Farm we have been inspired not only by the boundless depth of the sky, the wide open horizon, the deep terrain of the landscape of Purulia, but the harmony of Rabindranath Tagore’s vision regarding space, landscape and dwelling. Our architect, Shri Bidyut Roy, a renowned artist and practicing expert in architecture, especially of the indigenous mud houses, trained at Shantiniketan, has rendered his imagination to create a harmonious blend of Bengal’s traditional mud houses and modern comfort and luxury.

Our mud house, crafted from natural materials like Taalkari (Palmyra palm trunk), mud blocks, and stone is a unique piece of architecture blended with nature. With thick mud walls, you’ll stay cool in the heat and cozy in the cold, while hand-painted motifs add a tribal touch to your surroundings.
